Emmett Update

Hello everyone!

It’s that time again! Time for an update on Emmett.:)

He is almost 17 months old, and a few weeks ago at his docs appt, he was 28 lbs and 34 inches long. Growing out of his 18 month old pants and size 7 shoes.:) He is doing all kinds of things! He can count to three, recognizes the colors yellow, red and blue, and sometimes white, and he is saying around forty words! He is talking in two word sentences and unfortunately, properly applying the word “shit”. HAHAH! I can’t believe that my baby is swearing already, OH NO! Time to be really careful!

Among other big boy things, he is drinking from a normal cup, eating with a spoon and fork (but still getting messy and eating with his hands too! Hahah), building towers with blocks and in general, getting into all kinds of things!

Glad we can share his development with you all! We miss and love you all!

Funerals In General

Dear Friends,

What causes us to awake with crazy dreams about 3:30 am and our mind wander in circles for an hour until we decide it is easier just to get out of bed, open the Bible and read? Possibly some of my nightmarish thoughts landed on funerals due to the recent death of a couple beloved brothers in Christ.

Of the many funerals of which I officiated and/or have attended (a couple of which most of the family were drunk) almost every family had sacrificed to make certain their departed loved one was properly dressed, laid in a nice coffin surrounded by flowers, buried in a lovely park like setting and the coffin lowered into a waterproof vault. Invariably the loved ones were anxious to share and hear good reports of their beloved departed and assured one another that under the circumstances the departed was now enjoying the great rewards of heaven and enjoying fellowship of those who had gone on before.

Although I believe that Jesus will soon return to Rapture true believers to heaven (just before seven years of unbearable suffering for those left in this world) I recognize that this day or this week or this month or this year may be my last. I will not be offended if my body is clothed with pajamas, wrapped in a comforter and lowered into a water tight cement vault (some places the water table is high).

Let’s face it, not everyone talking about heaven is going there. The fact is, “Good people don’t go to heaven”. Saved sinners go to heaven! Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared and repaired people!

It was once reported that an elderly slave said his Master took a lot of time to prepare for every trip he had ever made, but he didn’t spend any time preparing for his trip to heaven. Oh, I know some people are a lot nicer than others and some are “GOODER” than others, but the Bible says, “…all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”! God’s PRE-PAID FREE TICKET to heaven has been paid for by God’s Son, JESUUS!

Read and see…

I John 4:9–”Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son (Jesus) to be the propitiation (payment or satisfaction) for our sins.”

I John 2:2–”And he (Jesus) is he propitiation for our sins: and not for our’s only, but also for the sins of the whole world”.

Galatians 4:4-5–”When the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”.

John 3:16–”For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

John 14:2 & 6–In my fathers house (heaven) are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you 6–Jesus saith untohim (Thomas) I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 3:36–”He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Oh, if there were only room to type more and time for unbelieving people to believe more.

Love to all, Clair & Jeanne

After all, this project started with his information, and boy did he know a lot. We’re honored that this website represents the only known source of published historical information for several family lines. In addition to the information, we have a large library of great historic photographs to help you put a picture to the face of many ancestors. In the past, family photographs were always inconveniently located in the personal collection of one or another relative. But now we’re able to share those great pictures with everyone, at anytime. And this is just the beginning! There’s an open invitation for any and all family members and friends with related content to post messages, tell stories, announce family events, send photos, share genealogy research, invite others, or just use this website as reference.
